FAQ
With the nature of this line of work, I ensure I am available at times convenient to you, and as such bank holidays/school holidays/weekends are heavily subscribed, but available.

Can some sessions happen over summer and bank holidays?
A standard weekly session will be arranged starting the following week at an agreed time. The time is ring fenced for you and will be consistent to fit in with your schedule.

How quickly can I arrange tuition?
I will give regular feedback on the progression of your son/daughter during the sessions and regularly assess their ability with respect to achieving the top grades. I will also set targets and expect students to work hard to keep on track with them alongside their regular college work. I do take care not to overload students and align with college material if possible.
02 /
Will I know what grade my son/daughter is at as we go along?
How often is best?
This I can answer after the initial session where I will gauge exactly where your son/daughter is at in terms of subject knowledge and exam technique.
If it is early in the year students usually opt for a single or double during the week. Many students have however opted for the intensive scheme either at the start to get a good run up to the year or at the end if a mock exam paper gave a bit of a shock.

I will set work at my discretion in order to reinforce principles, ascertain the progress or find gaps in knowledge. All this will be marked by me either with the student while giving feedback, or between sessions.
Work from school or college will be marked during a session while giving feedback.
Are you able to mark work?
I have been asked in the past if I do the other sciences, and at the moment I only offer chemistry. I have extremely high standards for the quality of the tuition and although I have a wealth of experience teaching physics and biology, there is so much preparation needed for each individual exam board the other sciences will come later.
